Definitions of Terms:

LIKE-MIND DOCTORS:

• Primarily US Board-Certified Ophthalmologists or selective medical professionals
• Surgeons using the SCOPE vow to “do no harm”
• Committed to high-quality, sight-restoring surgeries.
• Surgeons working in coordination with “in-country” medical professionals or organizations.

UNDER-SERVED

• areas of the world lacking highly trained surgeons and medical professionals
• serving people without the means to pay for these services.

• This scope is for temporary use only.
• This scope is on loan but has some associated fees.
